JAKAF protests custodial disappearance, youth torture
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar: The activists of the Joint Association of Kashmiri Affected Families held a silent protest here against the “custodial disappearances, unidentified mass graves and torture by the forces in Kashmir.”
“We want to draw the attention of the international community and human rights organisations towards the disappearances, illegal detention of pro-freedom leaders and activists and torture of youth,” a statement issued by the association said.
The association patron and Hurriyat leader, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, said India should withdraw its troops from J&K, repeal all draconian laws and come clear about the custodial disappearances and other human rights violations.
