Mirwaiz visits injured GK lensman

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Jan 19: The Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Omar Farooq on Tuesday visited GK lensman, Amaan Farooq, to enquire about his health.
He told Amaan, who was shot at by a police official, that such incidents were expected in a place like Kashmir from the “trigger happy security personnel”.
“When they brazenly committed rape and murder of Asiya and Neelofer in Shopian why would they think of consequences of attacking you,” Mirwiaz said and prayed for his early recovery.
Meanwhile, the Hurriyat Conference  Chairman visited family of Inayat Ahmad Khan, who was allegedly killed by para-military CRPF troopers last week, to express solidarity with the bereaved family.
“The killing of teenager Inayat and Parvaiz Ahmad Hajam of Sopur is agenda of Indian troops to carry genocide in Kashmir. Such killings won’t stop till India won’t withdraw its troops from Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Mirwaiz said that there was no accountability to troops.
“State Government is toothless. They have no power to deal with troops. It is a very sorry state of affairs.”
The chairman said that frequent search operations and frisking of people including women and aged persons by the troops have put the people to a lot of inconvenience. “This is a harassment tactic adopted by the government which won’t yield anything,” he added.
Umar was accompanied to Inayat’s and Aman’s residence by Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam and Mushtaq Sofi.
