Observe January 26 as black day: Asiya Andrabi

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar: The Dukhtaran-e-Milat chairperson, Syeda Asiya Andrabi, has appealed the Kashmiris to observe January 26 as “Black Day.”
In a statement, she said, “By observing January 26 as Black Day, Kashmiris will prove to the international community that India was occupying Jammu and Kashmir by force and against the wishes of its people. I appeal to the parents and especially parents of girls not to send their wards to any function on the day.”
“Officials of some educational institutions are forcing girl students to participate in January 26 functions. But it is the responsibility of parents to stop their wards at any cost,” she appealed.
On Hurriyat Conference (M) restructuring, Asiya said, “I appeal Mirwaiz Umar to restructure the conglomerate on the basis of right to self determination so that freedom movement moves forward under the same banner.”
She urged Mirwaiz to throw away all such elements from Hurriyat whose “character is suspicious.”
Asiya supported Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s strike call on January 26.
