Hurriyat (G) invites intellectuals to help resolve K-issue

Srinagar, Jan 21: Hurriyat Conference (G) has invited intellectuals of India to help resolve Kashmir issue.
“We urge all the justice loving of people of India especially intellectuals to have appreciation of the ground realities and peoples’ sentiment in the state and help in getting the Kashmiris their right of self-determination,” said a spokesman of the Hurriyat in a statement today.
“Giving right of self-determination to Kashmiris will not only resolve Kashmir issue but will also restore abiding peace in the region which will in turn pave way for progress and prosperity of people of India,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, repeating its call for shutdown on January 26, the Hurriyat has appealed to the people to observe complete strike on this day.
