Sorry tale

This refers to the article titled "The revenge of the tortoise" by Basim Amin. I agree with the author when he says, "it’s the fast and consistent working in teams that succeeds". In an ideal society these things are very prominent. But in a society like ours, we have two distinct species of the said animals. On one hand, we have hares who are extremely fast, furious and ambitious. They have learnt to kill their sleep and swim. They even give bananas to the monkeys to get their favours to allow them to go through the shortcuts instead of the proposed track. On the other hand we have extremely lethargic, docile and incompetent tortoises who like to stay in their shells. The hare is very cunning while the race is on; he spreads thorns everywhere on the track to pain the tortoise. The submissive tortoise accepts the pain as his destiny while the hare enjoys the suffering. In the end the hare crosses the end line, while the tortoise dies just a few meters away from the starting line. And all the animals cheer for the hare and nobody cares for the poor tortoise. This is the sorry tale of our land.
