Shell hit head

Srinagar, June 12: A team of doctors who carried out the post mortem of the slain teenager, Tufail Ahmad Mattoo, have established that his death occurred due to a deep wound inflicted by a teargas shell.
Sources in know-how of the autopsy report told Greater Kashmir that the youth died after being hit by a tear smoke directly in the head.
“There is a entry wound in his head, but not the exit wound. Also the hair on his head was burnt,” sources in the team of doctors who conducted the post-mortem said.
 The team of medicos, constituted on the directions of the district magistrate Srinagar comprised doctors from the Forensic Department of the Government Medical College Srinagar and Doctors from the Police Control Room, Srinagar.
 Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar; SSP Srinagar and Principal GMC were also present during the post mortem.
 A doctor from the deceased family was also present when the post mortem was conducted this morning.
