Now pay BSNL post-paid bill at retail outlets
Service is being extended across Jammu district
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Jammu, Jan 25: State-run telecom firm BSNL has announced the formal launch of bill payment facility at retail outlets, offering major relief to its post-paid mobile subscribers.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) Principal General Manager R K Koul told reporters that post-paid subscribers were facing great inconvenience in depositing their bill amounts at selective bill payment counters, as the number of these customers had increased.
"We decided to authorise the franchisee/retail outlets of BSNL to collect bill amount on behalf of BSNL that will not only ease off our burden but also be of great convenience to our valuable customers," he added. With this customers will now be able to deposit their bill amount at their doorsteps, he asserted.
He said initially only those franchisees and retailers will be authorised, whose verification has been completed. At present, the service is being extended across Jammu district but within a short period it would be extended across the state, enabling nearly 2,000 franchisee/retail outlets, he added.
Suitable commission will also be paid to the retailers for extending this service to our customers, he said.
