KU’s south campus director resolves students conflict
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar: To resolve the conflict between students hailing from various regions of Kashmir, the Director South campus, Kashmir University, Dr Khursheed Ahmad, Monday walked around three kilometres uphill to the campus.
The witnesses said the road to the campus, located on a mountain in South Kashmir’s Islamabad District, was blocked due to heavy rains and snowfall yesterday. They said the students were reluctant to move towards the campus and were waiting for the director to arrive.
“As soon as he reached the spot and saw the students stranded there, he stepped out of his vehicle and walked all the way to the campus. All the students were left with no option but to follow him which made the routine work possible in the campus,” students said.
Pertinently, the campus was closed due to similar condition of the road early last month. The closure had snowballed into a rift between students.
