Protests against essentials scarcity

Kupwara: Thousands of people took to streets and raised slogans against the government here on Monday for failing to address the shortage of essential commodities.
 The protestors led by MLA Lolab Abdul Haq Khan accused the government of turning blind eye towards scarcity of ration, erratic power supply and lack of basic amenities in the frontier district.
 Talking to Greater Kashmir, Abdul Haq Khan threatened to launch strong agitation if government failed to redress the peoples’ grievance.
 The people also threatened to observe a shutdown against the government indifference on the issue.
