Omar aims at equitable development

Jammu, Jan 6: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who has just completed a year in office, today said the government is firm on equitable development of all areas and judicious utilization of resources to ameliorate the lot of common man.
“We are determined for the welfare of all sections of society in a just system of governance with public service its benchmark and the people’s participatioin in development process is being encouraged to make schemes more people centric and effective”, he said while interacting with various deputations here this evening.
He also underlined reaching out to rural and far-off areas and prompt response to public demands as focus areas of his government.
Claiming that he was in constant touch with the common people personally and also getting important feedbacks from their representatives and through CM’s grievances cell, he said, “This keeps me informed of the pace of progress on works and public needs in various areas.”
The deputations, which presented various demands, were assured by the Chief Minister that their genuine demands would be considered and necessary action would be taken for their redressal.
