Varmul, Bandipora markets inspected

Varmul, Jan 6: The checking squads of Legal Metrology unit Varmul and Sopur during inspection of various markets in Varmul and Bandipora have registered 95 cases for various violations of Weights and Measures act last month and recovered a fine of Rs.32450 from the erring shopkeepers, an official statement said. As many as 3075 instruments of weights and measures have also been standardized in respective laboratories against which Rs.40500 were collected as revivifications and stamping free during the month.
