See writing on the wall: Sadhotra to PDP
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, Jan 8: Senior National Conference leader and MLC Ajay Sadhotra Friday said that the frustration of Peoples Democratic Party was evident from the statement of its president who had praised Dr Farooq’s government as compared to the present coalition government.
“The only achievement of Mufti-led government during the three years was to get the title of second corrupt state of the country,” Sadhotra said at a press conference here.
He said that NC was facilitating quiet talks while PDP was bent to sabotage any solution through these talks.
Highlighting the achievements of the government, Sadhotra said Centre gave consent to the two universities and approved record Plan.
“Establishment of Kisan Board, sixth pay commission to its employees, presentation before the 13 th Finance Commission, 60 000 jobs, opening of Mughal Road, RTI Act, Sher-i-Kashmir Employment Policy, Overseas Employment Corporation are the achievements of the Omar Abdullah led government,” he said.
He advised PDP leadership to see the writing on the wall and be witness to a new chapter of progress and achievements.
Sadhotra said it was PDP which was against the Panchayat elections and it was NC which was keen on revival of the system.
He said Gujjars, Bakerwals, Paharis and other backward communities were given the benefit of pre-matric scholarships.
