JKLF (R) concerned at leaders’ detention

Srinagar, June 30: Concerned over the continued detention of its senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir and other pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) on Wednesday said such vile methods and pressure tactics by the government could not suppress the ongoing freedom movement in J&K.
 In a statement, its spokesman said, “Indian agents and NC government on Friday night got torched two vehicles-one belonging to Javid Ahmad Mir and another to his close relative, at his (Mir’s) residence.”  
 He condemned New Delhi’s proclamation to support Omar Abdullah in ‘getting Kashmiris killed’ and appealed to the pro-freedom leaders to demonstrate unity at this crucial juncture.
 Meanwhile, Front leaders working abroad including Raja Ayub Rathore, Mumtaz Rathore, Shoaib Shah and Raja Zahir have condemned the civilian killings in Kashmir by the armed forces.
