Stop Genocide in Kashmir: KCSDS

Srinagar, June 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society under the banner of Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies has strongly condemned what it said the genocide of Kashmiris by troopers and police across the Valley.
“We condemn all the barbaric acts violating the human rights with impunity. The civil society urges the state Government and the Government of India to stop genocide in Kashmir,” KCSDS said in a statement and sought immediate revocation/ annulment of AFSPA and other draconian laws.
The Civil Society appeals to the international community particularly the United Nations Security Council to take cognizance of killings; human rights violations and other heinous crimes like rape and molestation of women, extra judicial killings, enforced disappearances, murders through fake encounters, perpetuated on the people of Kashmir, KCSDS spokesperson said..
The KCSDS has also taken exception to the statement of Home Secretary to Govt of India who, according to it seems has “deliberately ignored the ground realities while speaking on the current trail of killings,” she said.
