Sufi delivers lecture on tax laws

 Srinagar, June 30: The Indian Institute of Public Administration organised a lecture on Income Tax Law and Administration— An Overview – which was delivered by G R Sufi, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar on Tuesday.
 Sufi highlighted various income tax laws/clauses as also new income tax code which is likely to be made effective during the next financial year.
 He laid stress on the people to be more friendly with the income tax law and know how to file a proper return.
 The lecture was attended among others by members from IIPA, business houses, charted accountants, tax payers and members from the Chamber of Commerce & Industries.
