Srinagar, June 30: The in-charge of Police Post Humana, Mir Imtiaz was amongst many persons Tuesday hurt during clashes between protesters and the police in the suburb area.
A senior police official said Imtiaz was hospitalized and has suffered fractures in his feet.
He said doctors have advised him bed rest. But officials said Imtiaz couldn’t go home as his hometown is under curfew and it “wouldn’t be feasible for him to reach home given the strict restrictions”.
“The curfew in south Kashmir is very strict, we can’t allow him to take risk,” he added.
