Bhim Singh tells beleaguered Omar to quit

Srinagar, July 11: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP), which has decided to stay away from an all-party meeting convened to discuss the recent turmoil in the valley, today asked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to resign and pave the way for Governor’s rule in the state.
 “You have been caught in a situation that needs to be resolved urgently so that tension in the valley is reduced and people may inhale free air minus curfews and closures,” party chairman Bhim Singh said.
 In a letter to Omar in response to his communication and telephone call requesting him to reconsider his decision not to attend Monday’s meeting, the JKNPP chief asked the Chief Minister to pick up courage and remain without power for some time.
