Govt to stay: Dr Farooq

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, July 12: National Conference President, Dr Farooq Abdullah, Monday said that NC-Congress coalition government would stay in the state.
He said ‘some people’ carried out propaganda that government was failing ‘but these things have been dashed now.’ “The NC-Congress government is here. Those people will have to invent something different now,” he told media persons after the All Party Meeting. “We want peace. We want economic package for our unemployed youth from Center,” Dr Farooq, who is the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, said.
He urged the Government of India to speed up the dialogue process- both at internal and external level- to resolve the Kashmir issue. “We are hopeful that dialogue with Pakistan (on Kashmir) will be speeded up and internal dialogue will be restarted. Dialogue is the only way to go forward. If Israel and Palestine can sit to discuss the solution, I am hopeful that all the parties concerned would one day come forward to discuss the issue (Kashmir),” he said.
The senior Abdullah urged Government of India to take action on the recommendations of the Working Groups constituted by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to address the economic and political aspects of the problem.
