Jammu to join protest

Jammu, July 12: Members of civil society, human right activists and leaders of some political parties have decided to organise a protest march here Tuesday to condemn express their resentment against the killing of innocent people allegedly in police and CRPF firing in the recent demonstrations that rocked Kashmir valley.
Sources said a protest march would be organised by the International Democratic Party (IDP), Progressive Students Union (PSA), Samajwadi Party leader and ex- MP Sheikh Abdul Rehman, human rights activist, Balraj Puri to protest against the alleged human rights violations in Kashmir.
The protest march would commence from Exhibition Ground at Dogra Chowk at around 10 am and would march towards the Shaheedi Chowk, wherein the protesters would be addressed by the prominent human rights activists.
According to the organizers of the march, government should take all the measures so that the present cycle of violence stops in the Kashmir valley and peace returns there.
“It is important the peace returns to the valley as state has already saw much blood shed and vicious cycle of violence”, said a member.
