Soldier commits suicide

Jammu: An Army man committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan of his room in Udhampur area, about 60 kilometers from here, officials said on Monday.
 According to sources, Sepoy Sankosh Durjay of 3 Gorkha Regiment, was found hanging in his room by his colleagues, who immediately shifted him to the hospital. However, he was pronounced brought dead.
 The cause of the act was not immediately known, but police said preliminary investigation reveals that the deceased was in depression from last few days, sources said adding the army had initiated an inquiry into the incident.
