 I am a Kashmiri who has been brought up in the sweet  sound of slogans, in the shade of death and in the thundering noise of bullets and grenades, yet I am not afraid of being shot dead. I remember, I was in the 5th  standard when I and my friend nearly met the angel of death when the men in uniform were showering bullets from their bunkers and  we small kids were the short targets as the bullets were going above our height. I remember, we were running for the cover but hand in hand  we did not get caught by the bullets.
 We are once again caught in a crisis. But this is an opportunity we must not lose. We have missed it many times, but let’s direct ourselves from here.
