All party meet resolution absurd: HCBA

Srinagar, July 13: The High Court Bar Association Tuesday described the resolutions adopted at the All Party Meeting presided over by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as “absurd”.
 In a statement here, general secretary HCBA G N Shaheen said, “The state government constituted fake committees to inquire into the killings in Kashmir when the guilty are already know to it. The recent innocent killings by police and CRPF need to be probed by an independent and impartial international commission.”
 The resolutions adopted in the meeting are absurd as they restrict the scope of inquiry or ascertaining the circumstances that have led to killing of these innocent youth, he said.
 He said that instead of bringing guilty to justice, these government inquires were managed to cover up the “excesses and abuses committed by the guilty officials.”
