Industrialists call for Kashmir resolution

Srinagar, July 13: The unit holders of IE Zainakote under the banner of Small Scale Industries’ Association today appealed the people from different walks of life in Kashmir to form a pressure group to impress upon government of India to “resolve Kashmir issue once and for all.”
According to a statement issued here today, the members of the Association at a meeting while discussing the situation prevailing in the Valley for the last about a month said, “Lot of blood has been spelt in Kashmir for past two decades with successive governments in the state as well as at the centre playing indifferent.”
The meeting said Kashmir is an internationally acknowledged dispute that needs to be resolved at the earliest.
Shahjahan, President Industrial Estate, Zanikote emphasized the need for forming a pressure group comprising people from all walks of life including engineers, doctors, trade unions, traders’ bodies, industrialists, contractors and media “to seek resolution of Kashmir issue.”
The members also urged the state politicians to rise above “the petty self interests” and join hands for a “common cause i.e. one time solution of Kashmir.”
