NC-CONGRESS COORDINATION COMMITTEE MEETS
Discusses formation of commissions
Srinagar, July 13: A day after all party meet, the coordination committee of National Conference and Congress party met on Tuesday and discussed the prevailing situation in the state and formation of Vigilance Commission.
Sources told Greater Kashmir that the coordination committee attended by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, President Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz, deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather, senior Congress leader, Mangat Ram Sharma and senior National Conference leader, Choudhary Ramzan discussed the formation Vigilance Commission, Accountability Commission and Information Commission in the state.
“Both the parties have programme of forming separate commissions in near future for accountability and betterment of masses and the meeting mainly focused on it,” sources said.
They said, that the prevailing situation in the valley was discussed threadbare and various steps were discussed for reaching out to masses after the killings of 15 persons in state from June 11.
The Committee also discussed various matters pertaining to the coordination between the two parties and measures to further strengthen the coalition Government.
