Gold futures rise on firm global cues

New Delhi July 14: Gold prices edged up by Rs 21, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 18,554 per ten gram in futures trading today, as traders created fresh positions on the back of a firming global trend. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for October-month contract rose by Rs 21, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 18,554 per ten gram, with an open interest of 2,753 lots.
