Kashmiri leader

The Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq led a massive procession on July 7 in old city. He could have created history had he stayed a sit-in at downtown only rather than calling an end to the procession. It would have been better had he stayed there along with thousands of people and demanded what the people of Kashmir need. But unfortunately, he acted as a typical Kashmiri leader and missed yet another opportunity to give the movement a fresh lease of life.
