Political initiatives

Political initiatives are a must to address the present crisis in Kashmir. There is a lot of disconnect between the people and the administration. The administration reaches out to people only in times of crisis situations. It is better if the administrators go door to door and ask people about their grievances. People have voted their representatives to power during the 2008 assembly elections. So it is the prime responsibility of the men in power to look into the issues facing people. You can curb incidents of stone pelting to a great extent by making it sure that the youth who resort to this exercise are given a decent job. If they remain jobless for years together, you’ll face the problem again and again. It is better to address the root of the issue than take it on its face value.
