Get registered before going to Amarnath: SASB to Yatris
Srinagar: The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has asked the Yatris to complete the registration before embarking on Amarnath Yatra.
The SASB, Chief Executive Officer R K Goyal said for the convenience of Yatris, the registration facility was available at the 121 registration counters established at the designated Branches of the J&K Bank across the country.
He said because of the longer distance and travel time along the Sheshnag route, the registration of pilgrims who travel on this route would be allowed up to August 22 while the registration in respect of the Baltal route, would close on the August 23.
Goyal said all the registered pilgrims had been provided free accident insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh.
Meanwhile, 1, 93,410 Yatris have so far visited Amarnath Cave.
According to sources, 7034 Yatris today left for the Cave from Pahalgam-Nunwan and Baltal –Sonamarg Base camps.
Out of 7034 Yatris, 3916 comprising 2815 male, 747 female, 129 Children and 225 Sadhus left from Pahalgam and 3118 comprising 1975 male, 895 female, 236 children and 12 Sadhus left from Baltal base camp.
