Luminous launches VRLA batteries

Srinagar, July 15: Luminous Teleinfra Ltd (LTI), a division of Rs 1,000 crore SAR Group, launches the next generation deep cycle VRLA batteries for Telecom cell sites, it said in an e-mail to Greater Kashmir. Giving details it said the Luminous has a state-of-the-art Battery R&D facility and the company has filed over 11 patents in the Batteries required in power back-ups.
With access also to cutting-edge development in battery technology through membership of the Advanced Lead Acid Battery Consortium, USA, Luminous has been refining over the years the technology for battery manufacture in India.
“Taking into account the fast-growing economy that works 24x7 in, there has been a growing need for a highly reliable and virtually maintenance free power back-up solution that meets the expectations of the subscribers of telecom network operators”, said Rakesh Malhotra, Founder & CEO.
