Stop acting as ‘C’ team of NC: NPP tells BJP

Jammu: Describing BJP as the ‘C’ team of National conference, National Panthers Party has accused its leadership of promoting the interests and prospects of National Conference in Jammu region.
In a statement, the party accused BJP of being the mouthpiece and proxy of National conference in Jammu.
Questioning the locus-standi of BJP in disputing the stand of NPP of staying away from all party meet convened by the chief minister, Omar Abdullah, the NPP asked the BJP to explain its status as a political party in the state.
The Panthers said while it (NPP) was playing the role of ‘vibrant, effective and vociferous opposition,’ the BJP stood exposed for its dubious and double role.
It also owed an explanation as to why it was concerned about success of Omar Abdullah’s meeting and has been over-zealous in condemning non-participation of opposition parties.
Expressing dismay over the outbursts of BJP in questioning NPP stand, the NPP legislators Harsh Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia and Yashpual Kundal said BJP leadership must perform the role entrusted to them by the Jammu people and stop behaving as ‘mouthpiece’ of National Conference. They said the BJP’s outburst was indicative of its utter frustration and its growing realization that it was fast loosing ground in the politics of J&K.
