Srinagar, July 17: Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir has urged the pro-freedom leadership to ensure that the protesters do not hurl stones on vehicles, shops and houses.  
 “Jama’at appeals to the leaders of ongoing movement for right of self-determination that they should, while giving programmes to people, issue strict instructions in the light of Islamic teachings that no one should do anything that terrorizes a common man and there should not be any apprehension of any damage to public property,” said the Jama’at spokesman advocate Zahid Ali in a statement today.
  “The ongoing movement demands demonstration of extreme wisdom, farsightedness and understanding so that everything goes in right direction. The oppressed Kashmiris have always been supporting and standing by the pro-freedom leadership and strictly adhering to their programme despite coercive policies by the government. Now it is the duty and responsibility of the leadership to respect their sentiments and aspirations and ensure protection to their life, honour and property. They should also ensure the supply and provision of basic necessities of life to them. Besides, no one should be allowed to humiliate any pedestrian or passer-by.”
