Introspection: Who needs it more?

This refers to the your front page editorial INTROSPECT (GK 15-07-2010). There is no doubt that regular introspection is very important in achieving the desired objectives. In the current scenario the people of Kashmir stand on one side while as their so called elected  government on the other side.  People of Kashmir are offering sacrifices for achieving their goal. Young, old, children and women all contributing on their part and strengthening their resolve to achieve their birth. What more introspection do they need?  As regards the introspection by Government, I must say that had it been a sensitive one then the current situation could not have come to this pass. A most incompetent and disordered Government run by people  concerned only with their personal interests does not have any such vision to have introspection. The way our beloved youths have been killed over the past one month and the response of the Government leaves no doubt that the puppets of the government of India have sold their conscience and expecting any good thing like introspection is a day dream like thinking. It is ironical that after so much of bloodshed and torture of the common people an all party meet was arranged a few days back and what came out from there was  sheer disappointment. I am surprised that in the article the separatists as well as the Government have been equated which is not fair because the Government on its part is not able to do even one single thing which could have partly subsided the issue. The editorialist could have suggested at-least one or two measures which could have proved good initiatives like releasing all the youths who have been arrested recently, taking some actions against killers who have blood at their hands.
