Next meeting in Kabul

New Delhi, July 17: Notwithstanding the recent acrimony after their talks failed to make any headway, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi may meet next week on the sidelines of a donors’ conference in Kabul.
Both Krishna and Qureshi would be in Kabul to attend the donors’ conference on July 20, a bid by Afghan government officials to urge a start to the spending of billions of dollars of pledged development funds.
 According to information available here, there were indications that Pakistani side, which appears to have piped down today after two days of acrimony with India, was exploring a possibility of a pull-aside between Krishna and Qureshi in Afghanistan.
