SOURA PROTESTS SMC 'HIGHHANDEDNESS'
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, July 17: The residents of 90 Feet Soura (popularly known as Nammath) on Saturday protested the “high handedness” of SMC officials saying a Khilafwarzi officer in misuse of power got a repaired residential house wall demolished.
A delegation of the residents led by aggrieved Manzoor Ahmed Kantt said he had repaired his compound wall but a “blue eyed” family got it demolished through their relative.
“Mr XXX (a Khilafwarzi Officer with SMC) who has no jurisdiction on Soura got the wall demolished on the insistence of his close relative who happens to live in the vicinity,” the complainant said.
The delegation appealed the SMC Commissioner to look into the matter and take strict action against the “erring official.”
