Unity needed
This refers to an excellent article “How to save this protest?” by Surinder Mohan (GK. 02.07.2010). He has been clear in his analysis of the situation. He has sincerely put forth good suggestions for the leadership as well as the people of this State. I fully agree with his idea of recipe for success. He rightly suggests us to transform the mode of protest into a lifelong tested form known as Satayagraha (non-violent movement) initiated by Mahatma Gandhi and successfully used by Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela. And I am sure this method will definitely yield good results. But this needs unity among the different groups and factions as unity is the key to success. Unless the cracks in the Kashmiri leadership are removed and sincere efforts made to take the ongoing struggle to its logical conclusion. Both the factions of the Huriyat must eschew their differences and come closer for the sake of the movement. They should take a cue from the article of Surinder Mohan
