Srinagar, July 18: The Employees Joint Action committee (Q) on Sunday decided to stage Valley wide protests against human rights violations on Monday, a vernacular news agency KNS reported.
It said a special meeting of EJAC (Q) was held under the chairmanship of president Abdul Qayoom Wani this afternoon. “During the meeting, it was decided that employees won’t act as mute spectators to human rights violations and will stage sit-in protests on large scale on July 19.”
Meanwhile, EJAC (K) president Khursheed Alam said that they have called an urgent meeting of Joint Consultative Committee on Monday to discuss the recent killings. “We will compel government to stop rights violations.”
Pertinently, Hurriyat (G) has appealed employees to stage protest on July 19.
