3,245 pilgrims leave for Amarnath cave

Jammu: Amid tight security, the second batch of 3,245 pilgrims today left Jammu base camp for Amarnath in south Kashmir’s Islamabad.
 As many as 3,245 pilgrims comprising 2,111 male, 704 females, 137 children and 293 sadhus left in 119 vehicles from Bagwatinagar Yatri Bhawan, base camp in Jammu, today, police said.
 The yatra convoy with mobile escort of CRPF, police and ITBP has already crossed Udhampur and are on their way to the base camps of Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir, they said.
 While, the first batch of yatris, which left Jammu yesterday reached Pahalgam in the wee hours this morning.
 As many as 2.75 lakh Pilgrims have been registered so far across the country. The Yatra would conclude on August 25.
