Hurriyat (M) to people: Continue protests

Srinagar, July 19: Hurriyat Conference (M) on Monday urged people to continue peaceful protests as per the  programme.  
 Terming the prevailing situation in Kashmir as extremely explosive, the Hurriyat spokesman said, “We appeal the international human rights organizations to take the cognizance of the ongoing human rights violations in the Valley and intervene.” 
 Referring to the killing of a teenager in Varmul, he said, “The police and CRPF troopers once again used indiscriminate force against the peaceful demonstrators at Azad Gund, killing an innocent 13-year old boy,” he added.
 The spokesman alleged that the government was using all “aggressive and inhuman methods” to crush the ongoing struggle in Kashmir. “Despite all the repressive measures including killing of teenagers and indiscriminate arrest of innocent civilians, the people will continue with their struggle with full determination,” he said.
 The spokesman alleged the police was demanding huge amounts from parents to the release the arrested youth.
