It's good you talk even though talks collapse

The foreign minister level talks between India and Pakistan yet again proved to be a diplomatic wrestling bout where each one was trying to do down the other. In the end no headway was visible on unresolved issues and the talks collapsed and so did the hopes of millions of Kashmiris. There have been too many talks and too much of talking leads to headache that both countries have in the shape of Kashmir. Both countries are well aware that there are extremist elements in each country and if we are always hostage to these elements then no issue can be solved. The only silver lining is that at least India and Pakistan have started talking. Kashmir hopes and prays that both countries move beyond the talking point. Also it is important under the circumstances that both countries spell out their national policy on issues like Kashmir, Siachen and Sir Creek, otherwise another round of talks will not yield results.
