And to save her, and I spontaneously turned my vehicle and it crashed into a electric pole,” says the Gypsy driver. The driver said on spotting the girl he instantly perceived that the girl could be crushed by the Gypsy.“And that very moment Imtiaz (Mir Imtiaz, the PP in-charge) Sahib who was sitting on the front seat shouted what I was just attempting to do: Save her,” the constable said adding the very next moment the Gypsy rammed into the electric pole. While the driver and another constable received minor injuries, Imtiaz, police said, suffered a head injury as the cab front windscreen crashed on his head.“We fell unconscious only to recover at the hospital,”Imtiaz said Tuesday after recovering from the shock. Some locals had rescued the wounded and informed the police. They also hailed the police action of saving the girl. The other cops injured in the mishap were identified as constables Bashir Ahmed and Shehnawaz Ahmed Cops crash gypsy agaisnt electric pole to save girl.
