Srinagar, July 21: After luring a sizeable number of subscribers by offering free SIM cards, universal call charges, etc. in May this year, the Idea Cellular Limited, has finally ditched its subscribers by blocking their outgoing calls due to non-payment of bills, notwithstanding the fact that the subscribers could not deposit the bills because of continued curfews and shutdowns.
According to a group of subscribers who visited Greater Kashmir office today the company has just a few offices in the Valley that too have not opened for over a month.
The local authorities of the cellular service provider even after knowing the obtaining situation in which the life has come to a standstill has withdrawn the services to its subscribers.
The group said that even after risking their lives they had gone to the Karan Nagar branch of the company to remit the bills but only to return hopeless as like all other offices and establishments the company’s outlet was closed.
“So where is our fault?” Asked the group.
They said the Idea Cellular has created a bad impression in the minds of the general public with its uncalled for action.
