World Kashmiri Diaspora Alliance stage protest
Washington, July 21: Members of World Kashmiri Diaspora Alliance staged a protest in front of United Nation Headquarters in New York demanding an end to human rights abuses and withdrawal of troops from Kashmir.
According to an e-mailed statement, the protesters were joined by the New Yorkers, who showed their solidarity with people of Kashmir.
Farooq Papa, who heads the World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance, hailed the efforts of members in making the voices heard at the high echelons of UN.
Meanwhile, the Alliance in Brussels organized an awareness meeting in which Kashmir Council EU Chairman Syed Ali Reza lauded the efforts of World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance for taking steps to unify the Kashmiri Diaspora so that the voice of Kashmiris’ was given a meaningful representation in the power Centers of International Community.
