Conf to discuss Valley situation from Aug 2
Srinagar: The way forward to a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue in the backdrop of the current situation in the Valley will be the focus of a two-day conference to be held by Awami National Conference in Delhi.
Prominent people and representatives from all the three regions of the state-Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh-and also from outside will take part in the conference beginning August 2, senior vice-president of the party, Muzaffar Shah told reporters here.
The conference is being held to "draw the attention of the country to the happenings in the Valley", he said.
He said the party would also hold "the first session of an intra-Kashmir conference in Srinagar immediately after the holy month of Ramadan in September".
