Former Sri Lankan PM calls on CM

Srinagar, July 22: The former Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Vikramasinghe, today called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and remained with him for half an hour.
Singhe discussed various aspects of tourism promotion and economic development with the Chief Minister and showed keen interest in the initiatives taken by State Government for the promotion of tourism and up-gradation of tourist facilities in the State. He also appreciated the economic agenda being implemented by the Government for the equitable development of all areas and sections of the society.
Singhe also lauded the secular temperament and pluralistic ethos of the people who have been living in amity in the State since ages.
The Chief Minister apprised the visiting dignitary of new initiatives taken in the sectors of industry, tourism, power, water supply, education, health, agriculture etc. especially these steps taken for enhancing employability and expanding the job market for youth.
