Pandits perform peace Yagya

Srinagar: Pandits prayed for peace and tranquillity in south Asia, especially in J&K, during a 'Yagya' (special prayer) in Mata Sidhlaxami temple in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
 "We prayed for return of peace and tranquillity in J&K during the night-long Yagya which concluded today with Puran Aahuti," the organisers said.
 Nearly 250 Pandits, including women, participated in the Yagya organised by Dooru Shahabad Migrant Coordination Committee in collaboration with All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee.
 Despite restrictions, Muslims helped in organising the Yagya at Lukbhavan in Dooru, Chairman of APMCC Vinod Pandit said.
 He said the Yagya was being organised every year in Lukbhavan, abode of four other temples of Shiv temple, Ram, Sita and Laxman temple, Durga temple, Laxmi Narayan temple.
