Students plight
This refers to the plight students of Kashmir are experiencing at present. Hartals, curfews, killings, mournings have been an integral part of Kashmir. We, the people of Kashmir have already offered about 20 precious years of our lives to this ongoing struggle; but what did we get? What is our achievement?
Nothing but a colossal loss of uncountable innocent souls. Amongst all this one of the most affected group is of the students. `What is our future?’. We are not against the freedom struggle. We just want our leaders to find a better way to struggle which could yield some good results rather than just deteriorating our education system. We agree that freedom is important but equally important are the other spheres of life amongst which education is one. All these spheres of life need to develop simultaneously to be abler to sustain us after we achieve freedom. We need to understand that will the freedom of Kashmir be enough for us to live in this world of competition. Can just the tag of ‘Independent citizens of independent kashmir’ be enough to earn our livelihood? We, the students, are the future of Kashmir. But are we capable enough to form the backbone of our motherland? To sustain that independence we, the citizens have to make our presence felt in this world which is only possible if we produce highly educated minds. Kashmir doesn’t lack intelligent brains but all we need is proper guidance.
