Srinagar, July 25: The chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syeda Aasiya Andrabi on Sunday condemned the custodial killing of a youth in Rafiabad in Varmul district and murder of another youth in Batamaloo allegedly by police.
 In a statement, Aasiya accused the government of what she said engineering genocide of Kashmiris.
 “The unabated killings of Kashmiris was part of larger conspiracy to quell the ongoing movement. We will not retreat till we achieve freedom. People should be ready for a longer agitation for attaining their basic rights,” she said. 
 She said the biggest tribute to the martyrs would be to carry forward the ongoing movement to its logical conclusion. However, Aasiya castigated those who criticized the strikes on the ground that education of children has suffered. “When our teenagers and youth are being martyred with impunity by troops and cops, how can we carry on our business activities?” she said. Aasiya flayed former chief minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah, for what she described as “insulting comments” about Kashmir.
