Srinagar, July 25: The Minister of State for Defence, Dr MM Pallam Raju on Sunday arrived in Kashmir on a two-day visit during which he would be briefed about the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.
Raju is expected to meet the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah or Governor NN Vohra on Monday, Army said in a statement.
Raju was received by the Chinar Corps commander, Lieutenant General NC Marwah and other senior Army officials at the Badami Bagh Cantonment here.
“He later visited the visited the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) at Rangreth and urged the cadets to fulfill their obligations in fostering peace,” the statement said.
