Spare education

 This refers to the news item “Kashmiri students scrutinized in MP”.  Since Kashmiri people are not against the people of India and every Kashmiri student is not a stone pelter, the matter needs to be taken up at the highest level as has been assured by Dr. Mehboob Beg, the Parliament Member. Besides, many Kashmiri traders go outside Kashmir for business purposes particularly in the winter months. They too face some problems. It has become a routine for Kashmiris to send their kids for studies outside Kashmir since the Valley schools and colleges are shut for most part of the season. The future of students is in danger and we must look into the ways and means to keep the educational sector outside the purview of the continued Bandhs and Hartals. In the current wave of Protest Programmes, the worst hit is the educational sector and the loss in school and college days cannot be reversed.
