Hizb militant killed: Police

Jammu, July 26: Police on Monday said that a militant was killed in an encounter in Jammu’s Kishtwar district.   
 “Troopers cordoned off Marwah area, about 290 kms from here, this morning and launched searches. Militants present there opened fire which was retaliated triggering an encounter on which a Hizb militant was killed,” a police official said.    
 He identified the slain militant as Muhammad Ramzan. He said his associate militant Riyaz Ahmed also sustained injuries during the encounter but he managed to escape.
